Our boards in action

Timber Construction: Technical Excellence in Detail

PAULOWNIA

Paulownia is a light and strong wood. We use it as veneer on our Timber constructions because it does not weigh down the board while providing additional rigidity.

Each board reveals different grain patterns that give it a unique look. The clear epoxy finish protects the wood and brings out its natural patterns.

Each board reveals unique grain patterns, natural nuances that make your board an exclusive piece.

Adapted Construction

Each type of shape generates specific mechanical constraints, which is why we adapt our construction according to the size:

  • 5'8" to 7'0" : EPS 20kg/m³ + PVC Stringer + 6oz fiberglass + Paulownia + 6oz deck + 4oz hull
  • 7'6" : EPS 20kg/m³ + PVC Stringer + 6oz fiberglass + Paulownia + 6oz deck + 4oz hull
  • 8'4" to 9'5" : EPS 25kg/m³ + PVC Stringer + 4oz reinforcement + Paulownia + 6oz deck + 4oz hull

Each size optimized to balance strength, weight and responsiveness according to specific mechanical constraints.

NOSE AND TAIL BLOCK

Who has never taken their board to get repaired after a hit on the nose or tail?

These areas absorb 80% of impacts and account for the majority of repairs at your shaper. Our reinforced blocks eliminate this problem while providing a distinctive, premium finish.

Manufacturing Process

Our boards are made from a CNC-shaped EPS foam core for pinpoint accuracy. The central PVC stringer provides strength and evenly distributes the flex along the entire length.

Each board is then hand-laminated in a vacuum bag - a technique that perfectly controls weight by avoiding any excess resin in the fiberglass.

The Paulownia veneer is applied under controlled pressure before the transparent epoxy finish which reveals all the beauty of the natural wood.

What is the difference between Timber and Fresh & Fruit?

Aesthetics only. Timber uses natural wood veneer, while Fresh & Fruit uses colored resins. The performance is strictly identical: same EPS foam, same epoxy resin, same strength.

Does wood require any special maintenance?

No, our wooden boards do not require any special care. As with all surfboards, avoid exposure to high heat and UV rays.

How strong are Timber boards?

On the contrary. The wood veneer reinforces the EPS/Epoxy construction and improves impact resistance. You benefit from superior strength with an incomparable aesthetic.

How long does a Timber board last?

Our boards are designed to last for years. The EPS/Epoxy construction, reinforced by the wood veneer, provides exceptional durability. The wood ages gracefully and gains character.
